The steady back office behind public-safety training: IPMBA gained shared systems, clean data, and a full AMC team so the mission never depends on one person again.
IPMBA trains and certifies police, EMS, and public-safety officers who work on bicycles. For years, the organization ran on paper files, mailed renewals, and a single desktop database. When its long-tenured Executive Director departed, the board chose MCI USA’s Full-Service Management (AMC) model to reduce risk and build stability with a full cross-functional team.
This case study shows the behind-the-scenes work that made the change possible: digitizing 20 years of records, documenting institutional knowledge, removing more than 10 years of inactive and duplicate data (about 29,000 records), and rebuilding clean member, instructor, and certification data before moving to a modern association management system. It’s a clear look at what becomes possible when a strong volunteer foundation is supported by the systems and team needed to scale.
