In October 2013, Janrain commissioned Blue Research to assess consumer satisfaction with current digital marketing performance, and whether social login is recognized as a value-added service that facilitates better targeting and personalized brand experiences.

Our research results indicate that more than 50% of consumers now use social login and those who do are more active and likely to be brand advocates. Unfortunately, they also show consumers are still being mistargeted by marketing campaigns, and 94% will respond to irrelevant messages and offers by unsubscribing from emails or abandoning websites altogether.
