See MD+DI's report on medical device salaries in research and development, product design engineering, management, quality control, regulatory affairs, and production.
Where do you stand in comparison to what your colleagues are making? Do you know if your salary is as high as it should be for your position and level of experience? Is it time to ask for a raise? How do your colleagues feel about their job security in the industry?
Those questions and more are the impetus behind MD+DI’s 2025 Medtech Salary Survey. Each year, we ask medical device and diagnostics industry professionals detailed questions about their salaries, bonuses, benefits, job satisfaction, job security, and more.
This year’s survey was fielded online from June 1 through June 30th, 2025, with 385 respondents completing the survey anonymously. Responses were filtered so that only those working full-time for a manufacturer of medical devices, a manufacturer of in vitro diagnostics (IVDs), or a manufacturer of both medical devices and IVDs were included in the final analysis.
We’ve analyzed the data to reveal the overall median salary for medical device and diagnostics industry professionals, as well as the median salaries for professionals working in research and development, product design engineering, management, quality control, regulatory affairs, and production roles. Results are also broken down by gender, experience, company size, and number of employees supervised.
