1 in 5 children have a mental, emotional, or behavioral health disorder*, but finding the right care for them is a huge challenge for parents, who form a large portion of the workforce. Employer-provided pediatric mental health care is the answer.
In a Lyra survey of workers across the U.S., 55% of employees said they had a child in their care struggling with mental health issues. One in three of those workers said their own mental health had declined over the past year. With the mental health of parents and their children so connected, benefits shouldn’t stop with the employee. Just as medical, vision, and dental benefits are available to dependents, it’s important to offer mental health benefits to employees’ families, too.
