How It Could Impact the Economy and Your Portfolio
Major shifts in the course of economic policy usually take their place in history by the name of the person at the helm. For example, Reaganomics describes the set of policies implemented by President Reagan’s administration that included lowering individual and corporate tax rates, reducing government regulations, and limiting the size of the federal government. While the policy proposals from President Trump are still very broad and lack detail, we think they contain enough substance to validate what we have called Trumponomics. If these proposals turn into actual policy, they will have a significant impact both on the economy and financial markets.
