Workers reinvent the way you think (and code)
Cloud applications have largely been developed as tiered systems with a monolithic application at the center. Recent developments have revolutionized application development through the use of lightweight application layers along with components, and composable services in a distributed environment. The net result is an agile and scalable architecture right from the start.
Worker systems provide developers with the ability to distribute and process workloads on a continuous basis, at scale, on a schedule, or in the background. The flexibility to run tasks at scale allows development to be broken into composable services/microservices. Orchestration capabilities that include control over concurrency and exception handling can provide variable throughput as well as ensure greater reliability.
