A Glimpse of How Communications Professionals Plan on Using Video in 2020
We have seen video grow exponentially in the last several years to the level that people are moving away from the written word and are expecting to view content in a more engaging format Globally, video will be over 80% of all internet traffic (both business and consumer) by 2022 up 75% from 2017. At the same time, the workforce demographics are having a major impact on how technology is used to communicate. Millennials and Generation Z will make up 75% of the workforce by 2025. This population expects the same technologies that they use at home to be in the workplace 65% of people whose ages range between 5 and 38 (Generation Z and Millennials) check YouTube daily for video content. As a matter of fact, more video content is uploaded in 30 days than the major US television networks have created in 30 years.
