Jiphun Satapathy is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Medallia, where he leads the company’s global cybersecurity strategy, risk management, compliance, and security operations. He heads a worldwide security and compliance team responsible for safeguarding Medallia’s products, infrastructure, and enterprise systems.

With over two decades of experience, Jiphun is a seasoned cybersecurity executive with deep expertise in risk management, product security, corporate IT security, security engineering, and cybersecurity standards. His work is rooted in engineering excellence and security innovation.

Prior to joining Medallia, Jiphun was the Head of Corporate and Enterprise Security at Snowflake, where he built a global security team from the ground up. He shaped and executed the security strategy across multiple divisions, including IT/Engineering, Support, Sales & Marketing, and Professional Services.

Before Snowflake, Jiphun led Application and Product Security at Amazon Web Services (AWS). There, he managed the security of AWS cloud and SaaS services across critical domains such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), Artificial Intelligence, Databases, Storage, and Compute. He played a key role in securing AWS's expansion into consumer devices in the AI/ML space. Earlier in his career, Jiphun led mobile security initiatives and the development of Visa and security products at Intel. He holds 8 patents in the security domain.

Jiphun is passionate about developing top talent, fostering a security-first culture, and leveraging innovative technologies. He emphasizes working backward from stakeholder needs to build highly effective cybersecurity programs that continuously earn customer trust.
