Despite safety efforts to prevent them, workplace strains and sprains remain among the top work-related injuries in frequency and cost.
Many jobs require tasks that involve high forces, awkward postures, and/or frequent repetitions. These stressors increase fatigue, which, in turn, eventually leads to musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) or strains and sprains. Most employers default to the easiest prevention programs – training and stretching. But these are seldom very effective. So, if not training and stretching, then what?
